Amarante is a beautiful city, in northern Portugal's Oporto district. Amarante sits on a hill overlooking the bucolic river Tamega.In the distance stands the gourgeous mountain/serra do Marão.

Get in[edit]

If driving a car one can get easily to Amarante by taking the Highway A4 from Porto to Vila Real. Another option is by using a bus. There are no train connections.

Walk,if able.It is a lovely small city.
