Alluitsup Paa is in Southern Greenland.
Alluitsup Paa is situated in southern Greenland. It is in Kujalleq. Along Narsarsuaq it is one of the rarest towns in Greenland for not having a church. In Kalaallisut means "outside of Alluitsoq", an abandoned town.
Alluitsup Paa was founded as a trading post, and was formerly known as Sydprøven. Before 31 December 2008 it was the second largest town in the nanortalik municipality. Before 2009 reform Alluitsup Paa was the Largest town in Greenland without a municipality.
There is only way to go in Alluitsup Paa; by Plane. Alluitsup Paa heliport; there are flights four times a week from Nanortalik, Qaqortoq and Narsarsuaq with Air Greenland 
Alluitsup Paa is small enough to walk around on foot.
There are some interesting things to do around the area: On the island of Uunartoq there are some hot springs which are from 34 to 38 degrees Celsius while if you sit down in the warm water, you can see drifting icebergs and whales in the water. Qerrortuut are the remains of the previous village always on the same island. Also the remains of a Viking nunnery are on the island, after the Norse converted to Christianity in A.D. 1000. Northern Lights are a must in Greenland.
Kayaking around the icebergs must give you a feel of being in Narnia or spotting whales passing underneath you. The local hotels offer tourists trips to the nearby sights; the Uunartoq warm springs, the abandoned Amitsoq copper and graphite mine  the nearly abandoned village of Alluitsoq (Lichtenau), the nearby quaint settlements of Akuliaruseq and Qarsorsat, and the village of Ammassivik (Sletten). The hiking route along the Vatnahverfi peninsula is among the most popular tourist destinations in Greenland. Operated by Greenland Homerule Government the local Integrated Office in the district employs two people.
There is a Pilersuisoq supermarket offered by the KNI in the center and two smaller kiosks around the town.
There is also the Pilersuisoq which offers mini pizzas (15 Kr) and hot dogs (10 Kr). Aleqa Kiosk; sell crisps and candles.
