On weekdays in the afternoon theres a shared minivan from the bazar in Murghab. Any Murghab bound jeep from Khorog can drop you here. When the road to China is open hitchhiking from here is pretty easy.
Renting a normal car with driver should be araound 30cent per kilometer. Around 60-70 for a 4WD
Mountain landscapes, Mosque.
-Wildlife tours are a good option. Owner of homestay Bergut can bring you in touch with a guide. We saw hundreds of Marcopolo Sheep, dozens of Ibexes and one wolf in february 2017. Prices are 0.7USD per cilometer including guide and binoculars. You will probably drive 40-90km for the whole day.
-In winter it can be a good spot for snowkiting, as it is often windy and has more snow than other pamiri villages.
There are some small shops, not all have a sign. Ask around.
Some restaurants and cafes near the road for passing drivers. Best option is your homestay.
Several homestays are signposted near the road. I can particularly recommend homestay of p.o. Bergut. It is open in winter, has more rooms in summer and even a Yurt. The family is lovely and calm. The owner, who is actually a doctor in the local hospital, will do its best to arrange local transport and so on for you for local prices. 85Somoni including breakfast and dinner, which are freshly prepared and good. Coming from Khorog its rather at the beginning of the village on the left, theres a sign on the road pointing to it.
On weekdays theres one to two shared vans to Murghab in the morning. Pice is 25Somoni per seat. Ask you homestay owner to contact the driver the evening before.
