Adrasan is a small town south of Antalya famous for its beach.

Adrasan is a small town that gets a steady stream of tourists who primarily visit for the beach, or stop off while walking the Lycian trail. In 2014 part of the forest on the hills surrounding the beach was destroyed by a fire, the remains of which are still visible from the beach.

Get in[edit]

Adrasan is off the beaten track but buses run from the Otogar station in Antalya to Adrasan. Alternatively a taxi from Antalya will cost between 150-200tl depending on your starting location and negotiating skills. If you are staying at one of the hotels in Adrasan they can most likely arrange a transfer from Antalya or the airport.

Adrasan is small enough to be easily and comfortably explored on foot. Aside from the buses to Antalya there is no public transport.

The beach is the main attraction. Although pebbly and not as comfortable to walk on as other beaches on the south coast, it offers some excellent swimming water and a stunning backdrop. If you want to use the chaise longue's there is a daily charge of 5tl. Though the ticket sellers only visit every couple of hours so this might not be necessary depending on the length of your stay.

Take one of the many boat trips offered to surrounding bays that can only be reached by boat and offer a chance to explore some other waters.

Paragliding is also possible from the hills surrounding Adrasan.

There are a small number of mini markets around Adrasan offering food, drinks, newspapers, and essential supplies. Several also sell beach equipment and assessories.

Most hotels in Adrasan offer half board tariffs so most likely you will eat at your hotel. But it's also possible to take a room only option and eat at any of them as they open to non-guests. Most offer traditional Turkish food that is reasonably priced.

Adrasan is full of Pomegranate trees and fresh pomegranate juice can be found when in season.

Adrasan has many places to stay, in particular along the river where various river hotels operate with outdoor seating erected over the river.
