Tech:Strikethrough for diff considered harmful

What happens

After the recent Mediawiki upgrade, diff now shows the changed parts with strikethrough and underline instead of coloring them. I find this ungood on any language version, and positively harmful for Japanese where there are oodles of horizontal strokes (二 is "2", is a struck-out "1"). Sample: try to find the change in this diff. Jpatokal 07:04, 2 July 2007 (EDT)

Go back to the old style? Jpatokal 07:04, 2 July 2007 (EDT)

I have to say I'd support going back to the old style as well. It's not nearly as easy to spot differences, especially on ja:, but on other versions as well, particularly when the changes are punctuation and formatting. Texugo 19:35, 2 July 2007 (EDT)
OK, I'll see what I can do. --Evan 08:30, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
