It'd be nice to be able to do a search based on longitude and latitude and be brought to either a list of the nearest locations, or directly to the nearest location. Unsigned comment by 204.15.87.226 (talkcontribs) .

That's a pretty great idea, what would it take to do something like this? – cacahuate talk 01:08, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Worlds of pain. Why would somebody want to do this with Wikitravel, instead of punching the coordinates into (say) Google Maps?
Of course it would be insanely cool if there was a mashup of the two, but that was proposed ages ago by IB themselves and it's going nowhere fast. Jpatokal 04:35, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
