Whangamata is a town on the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand.

Get in[edit]

  • 2 busses a day 7h50 and 13h15 (3 hrs travel time) Auckland to Waihi (Waihi is 30km away) 24$ incl fees (09) 623 1503 (wait forever on hold) 25$ at the terminal, leaves from Skytower
  • go kiwi shuttle 0800 446 549 - 73$ door to door Auckland to Whangamata.
  • same as intercity (just to Waihi) $26 incl fees OR MORE, first seats are cheapest, leaves from 172 QUAY "key" St -- at 12h40 -- 0800 474448 agent "4 sightseeing"
