Warrnambool is a city in Victoria, Australia. It is located 265 km southwest from the CBD of Melbourne, and has a population of 31,000.
Warrnambool has an airport located approximately 15km north of the CBD. However, it is infrequently used by tourists.
V Line operates a train service from Melbourne to Warrnambool.
From Melbourne to Warrnambool can be reached on the Princes Highway, it takes approximately 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take the Great Ocean Road. This takes approximately 6.5 hours (without stopping), but is well worth it for the sppectacular views, especially if one has not travelled via the Great Ocean Road before.
Warrnambool is reasonably easy to navigate by car. Metered parking in the city costs 70c per hour.
