Hi Handrian!

Welcome to Wikitravel. Thanks for your contributions to various destinations in Greece!

Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, will give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to wiki software, look at the wiki markup to get an idea. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. -- Ravikiran 00:51, 14 June 2007 (EDT)

Wikipedian Welcome[edit]

Hi Handrian! I see that you are a Wikipedian. We do things a little different on Wikitravel, so I thought I might give my standard welcome to Wikipedian's so you can review the differences. Welcome to Wikitravel and thank you for all your contributions. Standard Wikipedian welcome below.

Template:Europe[edit]

Thanks for plunging ahead with this template, but be aware that in the past these sorts of templates have generally been nominated for deletion and removed in the past. Wikitravel talk:Using Mediawiki templates#Ontario Mediawiki Template contains one discussion on the subject, and I suspect searching the VFD archives may turn up more. You may want to start a discussion on Wikitravel talk:Using Mediawiki templates before adding it to all European country articles. -- Ryan • (talk) • 16:14, 3 July 2007 (EDT)

Please. Also, you can put it in or remove it, but commenting it out is really the worst of both worlds. Jpatokal 01:46, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
Removed what was left from it. Handrian 02:07, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
Thanks! Jpatokal 02:15, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
Ditto! I didn't want to scare you off as you've made some excellent contributions, but at the same time I didn't want to see you spend a lot of time adding menu templates to European articles only to have someone come along and revert it later - there's a bit of history behind Wikitravel's minimal use of templates that new contributors are often unaware of. In any case, thanks! -- Ryan • (talk) • 02:19, 4 July 2007 (EDT)

Wikitravel:External_links#External_link_format[edit]

Hi! Thank you for your edits but please don't frontlink external links. It's against our policy. Thank you jan 07:21, 30 June 2010 (EDT)
