According to what source is the "culture of fear" valid? Can't the same be said for ANY other country, just for different reasons (religious laws, political ideologies, etc.)? Even if it is true, the entry as it stands is highly subjective and opinionated, and a bit offensive as well. If you can give me a substantial reason why it should stay, by all means do so. If not, then I'm going to revise it so it presents the idea in a way that doesn't indicate any undue "social commentary".--[[User:The Exiled Fighter|The Exiled Fighter]] 15:25, 30 December 2012 (EST)

Hello! Welcome to Wikitravel. To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. However, even more important than following every guideline is to PLUNGE FORWARD and write something – someone will be along to help with the formatting later! It is also a good idea to create your own account on Wikitravel because it will give you various benefits:

America "culture of fear" entry[edit]

According to what source is the "culture of fear" valid? Can't the same be said for ANY other country, just for different reasons (religious laws, political ideologies, etc.)? Even if it is true, the entry as it stands is highly subjective and opinionated, and a bit offensive as well. If you can give me a substantial reason why it should stay, by all means do so.
