Twain Harte was founded in the early 20th century and was named after Mark Twain and Bret Harte. It is a very small village that has less than 3,000 residents. Summers are cool while winters are very rigid because the snow level is very high (3 to 6 feet). Becauce of this it can be very difficult to get around due to slippery roads.

It is very easy to get around in Twain Harte, Car traffic is very low and it is very easy to walk around town.
Twain Harte has a public pool that is only open in the summer, people who go there annually are often rude (especially children). Twain Harte has a lake if you are not planning to go to the public pool. The lake tends to be more enjoying than the public pool because there are waterslides and a shack to eat. There is a park and a golf course that are also enjoyable.
