Trois-Rivières
|
Trois-Rivières (historically and rarely Three Rivers, [1]) is the second-oldest city in Quebec, founded in 1634. It lies almost half-way between Montreal and Quebec City and can make a nice stopover on travel between those two cities. Get inRoute 40 between Quebec and Montreal passes straight through Trois-Rivières. A Greyhound bus travels Trois-Rivières every hour from the central bus station. Cost for students is $56 for a round trip. Get aroundSeeThe main (arguably only) sight in Trois-Rivières is the old city (vieille-ville), concentrated by the river along rue des Ursulines. It's far smaller than those of Montreal or Quebec, but picturesque in a low-key way and worth a stroll. DoBuyEat
