Treviso ( French: Trévise, Latin: Tarvisium) is a city in North Eastern Italy, and the capital of the province of the same name. It is in the eastern part of the Veneto region, north of Venezia and south of Belluno. The city itself has 82,399 inhabitants (2001), with about 170,000 inhabitants in the wider metropolitan area, while the province has 795,264 inhabitants
Treviso is on the line that connects Venezia with Udine, train is very cheap. To go to Venezia, one way ticket is less than 3 euro! (Treviso- Venezia: 30 km, half an hour)
Treviso  has its own airport called Venezia(Treviso) airport (TSF) mainly used by lowcost companies like Ryanair connections.
In order to get from the Airport to the Treviso Train Station (Treviso Centrale), you must get the line 6 bus. You can also see the public transportation timetable online .

Treviso is also connected with Venice through the Terraglio SS13 main road characterized by a beautiful green landscape and ancient villas advisable for easy biking tours and itineraries for cycling holidays in Italy.
Discovering the city on foot is very easy. The historic center is actually quite small, so you can go around in the narrow streets.
bus are ok, but they run easily daytime, by night there is few buses... number 6 from Treviso Airport going to Treviso Railway station. they are very cheap, indeed, 1 euro in Treviso 'comune', 1.50 ouside the comune (Council)
better avoid car, there are lots of oneway streets in Treviso and a one ring way around the walled city.
With the local rental bike shops you can make a good excursion at Palladian Villas.But ask locals for the Restera... a nice track all along Sile River. If you brave, you can reack the Venetian Lagoon.

Best buy in Treviso? Local food... radicchio rosso and wine, also if is better to go in the countryside small town. Clothes and shoes: if you go in Montebelluna, you can get in outlet of shoes (Geox, Diadora and so on), but outlets are everywhere.
