==History== According to a local belief, Top Station derived its name from Middle Station and Lower Station, both lying down the valley, which were once connected to this place via Ropeway [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ropeway]. Remains of the Ropeway Station at Top Station are still visible and the remains of Kundala Valley Railway [http://irfca.org/gallery/Heritage/Kundala] can be seen at the small railway museum in Munnar. The Kundala Valley 24 inch guage railway also once ended at Top Station. Middle Station ([Kundalai]) is 12 km from Top Station on the way to Lower Station ([Munnar]). There was also another ropeway from Top Station down hill to the east to [Bodinayikkanur], Tamilnadu.
