Prepare

First off. There are spoilers ahead!. If you haven't seen the movie and want to understand the references, go see the movie.

For all you Nihilists, grab a white russian, read on and get out there. (just don't forget to bring the money!!!)

This tour encompasses all of Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Taking into consideration the areas notorious traffic congestion, this tour is advised for weekends only. To try this tour during rush hour would be entering a world of pain. Planning ahead is advised to keep your tour time and gas use efficient!

To visit most of these locations within a single day, it's recommended to use a personal vehicle.

Bowling Alley

Hollywood Star Lanes, 5227 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90029. Unfortunately, this location no longer exists and is now an elementary school. "Over the line!"

The Dudes Home

The Dudes Home, 609 Venezia Avenue, Venice, CA 90291. This cozy one bedroom in Venice is a unit within a six unit compound. "Where's the money, Lebowski!"

The Wooden Bridge

The Wooden Bridge, 196 Torrey Road, Fillmore, CA 93015. It's ok to come here with your driver, just no funny stuff.

Ralph's

Ralph's , 1745 Garfield Road, Alhambra, CA 91801. We meet the dude for the first time shopping for groceries at the local Ralphs. "This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude."

The Big Lebowski's Mansion (Outside)

The "BIG" Lebowski's home (private residence) , 10231 Charing Cross Road, Los Angeles, CA 90024. Mansion of Jeffrey "Big" Lebowski.

Greystone Mansion

Greystone Mansion, 905 Loma Vista Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Interior scenes of the mansion were shot at [Greystone Mansion], a building owned by the city of Bevery Hills The park is open to the public 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (PST) 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.(DST) It is best to call ahead before arranging a visit 310.285.6830. Admission is free.

Sobchak Security

Eden Therapy, 6757 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90038. The location for Walters business, Sobchak Securty.

Coffee Shop

Johnie's Coffee Shop Restaurant

Johnie’s Coffee Shop Restuarant, 6101 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90048. Long since closed, the structure remains and is still used in movies.

Nihilist Pancake House

Dinah's Family Restaurant , 6521 South Sepulveda Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045. This family owned restaurant has been a dining staple in the south bay.

Maude's Loft

Maude's Loft, 630 Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013. A residence above Palace Theater.

Crane Jackson's Fountain Street Theater

Palace Theater

Palace Theater, 630 Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Same location as Maude's Loft. Where Walter, Donny and the Dude watch the Dudes landlord perform at his dance recital.

Larry Seller's House

Larry Seller's House (Private Residence), 1824 Stearns Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90035. Where Walter interrogates Larry and goes berzerk on a red corvette. "Do you see what happens Larry!?!?"

Jackie Treehorn's Garden Party

Point Dume

Point Dume, Westward Beach Rd Malibu, CA 90265. Point Dume beach is used as the exterior of Jackie Treehorn's home.

The Dumpster

The Dumpster, 6319 La Mirada Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Where The Dude crashes into a dumpster and finds Larry's homework hidden in the passenger seat.

Jackie Treehorn's Mansion

Sheats-Goldstein House, 10104 Angelo View Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. A popular location that is been used in other movies, TV shows and music videos.

Donny's Funeral

Palos Verdes Coastline

Donny's Funeral , 962 West Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro, CA 90731. Somewhere of the coast of Palos Verdes is the location for this scene where The Dude and Walter try to commit Donnie's final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean. "Donny was a good bowler.. and a good man"

Be mindful that some of these locations are private residences; courtesy and respect must be shown. "This is not 'Nam, this is bowling. There are rules"
