Lake Simcoe is only about 100 km north of Toronto.  Hwy 11, which I think is considered the extension of Yonge Street, appears to go to Lake Nipigon and/or Thunder Bay.  That would likely yield the correct distance as well, but someone should probably verify that 11 is Yonge Street.  Particularly since this info is currently appearing on the front page of Wikitravel ... {{unsigned|205.189.194.204}}
