Slippeery slope of travel topics. There's a LOT of crappy and useless software for travellers. Please  list really only the best. I've begun with Metro, because I feel it's THE essential software for city travellers. Public transportation in big cities becomes much less confusing thanks to it. try it, I am sure you will find it very helpful. And, hey, it's free. What else can you ask for. ;-) -- [[User:Nils|Nils]] 20:54, 2 Apr 2004 (EST)

:Metro really is an excellent program - I use it a lot myself and have contributed many cities to it and I think Wikitravel should promote it because Metro is also a contributor-based project. By the way, there is a web-based trip planner called iMetro also by Patrice Bernard which is an exact port of the cities and routes of the Palm version of Metro. Maybe we could link this from every city which is featured on Metro (and, as you probably know, this is a LOT of cities!), so that users can get a nice, convenient online trip planner for each city. Metro really is an excellent program - I use it a lot myself and have contributed many cities to it and I think Wikitravel should promote it because Metro is also a contributor-based project.
