Slippeery slope of travel topics. There's a LOT of crappy and useless software for travellers. Please  list really only the best. I've begun with Metro, because I feel it's THE essential software for city travellers. Public transportation in big cities becomes much less confusing thanks to it. try it, I am sure you will find it very helpful. And, hey, it's free. What else can you ask for. ;-) -- [[User:Nils|Nils]] 20:54, 2 Apr 2004 (EST)

:Metro really is an excellent program - I use it a lot myself and have contributed many cities to it and I think Wikitravel should promote it because Metro is also a contributor-based project. By the way, there is a web-based trip planner called iMetro also by Patrice Bernard which is an exact port of the cities and routes of the Palm version of Metro.
