As late as mid july is still out-of-season, there pleanty of room, finding parking spots takes a little time, but not terribly difficult, if you are willing to walk a little and enjoy the view. Like everywhere in Portugal the road signs however are non-existing at best, and often wrong, so buy a very accurate up-to-date road map.

Everything in Sintra closes around 18:00 (some places at 19), so be arrive there no later than 16. This includes many places to eat. The closing hours do not change in high season.
