Tram's and Metro
Amsterdam is the only city in North-Holland that has tram's or a metro. The bus is the public transport elsewhare. --Rein N. 03:29, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
Central North-Holland?
Anyone knows a better region name? I thought of Greater Amsterdam, but then it sounds like it's a big urban area. Which it's not, as it's mostly rural with typical Dutch villages.
On the other hand, it's always seen as a sort of Greater Amsterdam region, like in the Amsterdam COROP-region as well as in the Amsterdam administrative cooperation region. Globe-trotter 11:49, 3 August 2009 (EDT)

Dutch/English Region Names
Are we supposed to translate the regions or not? Like:
- Gooi en Vechtstreek or Gooi and Vecht Region?
- Waterland en Zaanstreek or Waterland and Zaan Region?
and in South-Holland, on the border with North-Holland:
- Bollenstreek or Bulb Region?
- Groene Hart or Green Heart?
