Looking good now. Do the Sierra Nevada ranges affect the weather in Eastern Sierra like the Southern Alps do in New Zealand? They are about the same height. Perhaps some comment on the weather and rainshadow effects, thunderstorms, etc. - Huttite 00:30, 11 Apr 2004 (EDT)
They sure do. Nevada and Utah (both downwind) are deserts for a reason. Good idea for an addition! Hmm, wonder if the fact that no Eastern Sierra streams lead to the ocean is worth mentioning too. - Colin 02:35, 11 Apr 2004 (EDT)
