boat

does anyone have a clue how to get to Euskadi by boat from the UK?

There was (is ?) a ferry service to Bilbao from Plymouth or Portsmouth. There is one from Plymouth to Santander which isn't far from Bilbao. 83.192.124.39 19:05, 14 August 2008 (EDT)

ETA

surely its worth mentioning ETA (basque seperatist group), they have been known to be rather violent —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.219.49.2 (talkcontribs)

  • ETA is mentioned in the history section of the article. If you think there is more to say, please plunge forward. Jnich99 12:41, 6 July 2010 (EDT)
Since ETA's actions are not limited to Basque Country, I think Spain#Stay safe would be a better place to mention it. However, as average travellers are well away from ETA's target list (heck, they call the police to inform whenever they plant a bomb in a public place), it can even go without a mention there, too. – Vidimian 13:10, 6 July 2010 (EDT)

Navarre and French Basque Country

Whhere are Navarre and French Basque Country? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.57.68.101 (talkcontribs) 12:37, 20 September 2010

Here and here. Slightly more seriously, in the current geographical hierarchy, Navarre and Basque Country are both part of Northern Spain, while French Basque Country/Pyrénées-Atlantiques is a part of Southwestern France. If you disagree with the way it is, you may start a discussion at Talk:Northern Spain. – Vidimian 14:41, 28 September 2010 (EDT)
