This article is becoming great! And in particular I bow down before your careful observance of Manual of Style conventions. I see only two things missing before this could be a Destination of the Month: some pictures, and adding in kanji and macrons for Japanese attraction names. Jpatokal 08:20, 4 April 2006 (EDT)

I agree! I searched a bit on Flickr and Wikimedia Commons, and I didn't come up with anything. I put a note in Wikitravel:Requests for images... let's see if that helps. --Evan 09:38, 4 April 2006 (EDT)
And now the kanji and macrons are there too. I'll have to daytrip here next time I'm in Tokyo just to get some snaps... Jpatokal 23:42, 9 June 2006 (EDT)
Thanks for the kind words. I've now added a few photos for Ashikaga, Kiryu (the best documented city in Gunma!), and Mashiko, trying not to overload people's bandwidths. Will probably add a few more for Mito, Sendai, or other places I've got a few spare shots of. Going to Osaka next weekend. Any requests? Joel 14:55, 10 June 2006 (JST)
