Tain is a town in Easter Ross located about 70km north of Inverness on the A9 road and the Far North railway line. Tain has much grand architecture and is one of the most pleasant towns in northern Scotland. If you are in this area then Tain is well worth a walk around. It can, however, be full of drunken teenagers on Friday and Saturday nights, so care is advised.
