Strasbourg

Capital of Alsace, Strasbourg is mostly known for hosting european institutions. However, it is also a very nice place to visit, especially for its old town. The city itself is one of the 9 biggest cities in France, gathering about 450,000 people, counting the surroundings. Part of the connurbation is located on the eastern bank of the Rhine, in Germany. Districts Understand Geography Get in By plane Entzheim's airpotrt is located south-west of the city, with domestic as well as international flights (but not so much as a real european capital should have...). There are several flights a day to and from Paris. A bus will take travellers to the southern central point of the urban transports of the city, which is connected to the tramway (dircet line to the town center). In 2008 should be created a " tram-train " line (which is a mis between tramway and train) between the airport and the town center. By train The train station is located in the western town center, connected with the tramway, with buses and many taxis waiting outside (leftside when you're in front of the station). By car You can reach Strasbourg by many highways : from north and west (Paris, Benelux) taking A4 highway (E25) from south (Switzerland, Lyon), taking A35 highway (E25) from east (Germany), taking A5 highway (E35) By bus Eurolines provide bus service to the city.
