Stony Brook is a hamlet bordering the Long Island Sound located in northern Suffolk County, NY. This historic town is home to The State University of New York at Stony Brook, The Stony Brook School, Three Village School District, and the “Stony Brook Village.”
West Meadow Beach Historic District- West Meadow Beach Road, Stony Brook, NY 11790 | This peninsula of park land is approximately 1.5 miles long and was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic District on October 28, 2004. Come here to enjoy their long and rocky beaches, or spend your time jogging, hiking, or cycling on the beautiful trails this district has to offer. West Meadow offers public parking near the Town Beach and is open free of charge to Town of Brookhaven Residents.
