Earth : North America : Canada : British Columbia : North and Central Coast : Stewart
Stewart is a mining town in British Columbia. Stewart is surrounded by breathtaking mountains, an emerald rainforest, clean fresh air and pure drinking water. And Stewart is one of the vital gas stations on the Stewart Highway to Alaska. The bear viewing platform and the Salmon Glacier near its twin town on the Alaskan side of the border, Hyder, are the main vistas.
Theoretically it would be possible to get in by plane or by boat, but practically everyone comes in by car.
Get 'hyderized' across the border in Hyder.
At the Ripley Creek Inn, twin rooms are $50 including taxes. There is a campground in town, around $20 per site.
