Picturesque Southern Germany includes much of the famous landscapes of Germany. The Black Forest, the Alps, the Danube, and even the Rhine River for some part all find themselves in Southern Germany.
The German regional cultures of the Franks, Bavarians, Swabians and Alemanen dominate this region. Southern Germany is predominantely Catholic and oriented towards southern Europe by speaking similar silimar dialects as found in neighboring Switzerland and Austria. It is Germany's tourist central home to many of its attractions.
