South Bend is in north central Indiana. The town's name is drawn from a bend in the St. Joseph River. South Bend is the home of the University of Notre Dame.

I-80/90 connects to Toledo, Ohio in the east and Chicago, Illinois to the west. US 31 connects to Indianapolis in the south.
