Smiths Falls [1] is a pleasant small town near Ottawa. Its population is about 10,000.

Get in[edit]

Highway 15 cuts through the town, making it easily accessible from Ottawa or Kingston.

  • There are several craft shops downtown near the river, including one with quite nice silver work.


Also downtown, there is a pleasant restaurant right by the river. Watch fish jump as you eat.



You can find accommodations at the centrally located Comfort Inn which overlooks the Rideau river or the Best Western hotel which is just a short walk from downtown.
