Revision as of 14:10, 14 May 2007Skipton is an historical town in the English county of North Yorkshire, forming the southern gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Skipton is served by trains from Leeds (2 an hour taking approx 40 minutes) and Bradford Forster Square (2 an hour taking approx 40 minutes). Trains on the Settle to Carlisle route pass through Skipton.
Get aroundThe town can be easily navigated on foot. Regular trains operate on the Aire Valley line from Skipton station, a short walk from the town center. Regular buses operate from the central bus station in the town center to the Yorkshire Dales and other surrounding tonws/villages. See
