Schleswig-Holstein is the northernmost state of Germany. It borders Denmark and has coasts on both North and Baltic seas.




Other destinations

Melldorf - a town in the Ditmarschen. The Ditmarschen is a flat land of mostly reclaimed land, with spectacular skies and lots of 'Ferien Wohnung'. It is a plce wher many Germans holiday and is a great place for a slice of Germany as the Germsn live it. What's interesting in terms of history is that the Ditmarschen has not has a historical aristocracy, being a land of, usually well-to-do farmers.



German. Most people understand English. Many people from Denmark visit the Flensburg region for shopping, therefore it is possible also to speak Danish there.

The nearest intenational airport is in Hamburg. There are many boat services from Scandinavia. From the Danish Jutland you can get to Schleswig-Holstein by car.
