San Antonio Palopo

San Antonio Palopo is an authentic Mayan town with very few of the tourist trappings nor traffic. It's known for it's ceramics and it's beautiful but simple native dress (Traje). The villagers are cautious but will greet your smile with an even bigger one. There's two restaurants/hotels that service travelers and a bed and breakfast that also includes use of a kayak.

Sleeping

Casa Sonrisas: a lake front Bed and Breakfast. Has three rooms. One has a double bed, one has two double bed and the third has 4 singles. Cost is 80Q ($10 USD) per person and includes a Tipico breakfast, use of a two man kayak, kitchen privileges and use of a living room and porch with sunset views.
