San Antonio Palopo is an authentic Mayan town with very few of the tourist trappings nor traffic. It's known for it's ceramics and it's beautiful but simple native dress (Traje). The villagers are cautious but will greet your smile with an even bigger one. There's two restaurants/hotels that service travelers and a bed and breakfast that also includes use of a kayak.
