Samraong is a city in North-western Cambodia. UnderstandThe capital of Oddar Meanchay Province, Samraong is a regional hub that travellers in hinterland North-western Cambodia will pass through or use as a base. It is also the Cambodian town nearest the O'Smach/Chong Chom border crossing with Thailand. Get inUnpaved highway 56 runs west from Samraong, to Sisophon via Banteay Chhmar. Highway 68 is now paved and heads south, linking the town with Kralanh on National Highway 6 and hence Siem Reap There is also a road heading east to Anlong Veng Paramount Angkor Transport serves the town with buses. There is a border crossing with Chong Chom in Thailand's Surin Province at O'Smach, about 35 km north of Samraong. Get aroundSee the town on foot. Motodops are willing to drive to the border.
