Do

  • Take a boat ride. Weekends can be very crowded and you may have stand in the queue for long. Try to arrive around 8:30 when the boat rides starts. Best time to spot birds are down and dusk.
  • There is machan at at the end of the walkway which offers nice view of the nesting birds.
  • This sanctuary is suffering from plastic problem, avoid leaving behind any plastic bags.

A canteen witin the Sanctury sells tea, coffie and snacks.

There is no lodge or hotels inside the sanctury. Nearest town Srirangapatna is just a few kms from here.
