Ramsbottom is a small town in the northern part of The Borough of Bury in Greater Manchester. it is an Historic area with many buildings being stone.It is an upland area located within The West Pennine Moors.It lies within The Historic County Boundaries of Lancashire.

Where is it

Ramsbottom is about 6 miles north of Bury,8 of Bolton.it is the most northerly part of the Bury Borough.

Areas

Ramsbottom is split up into areas such as Holcolmbe and Summerseat.It is part of Bury North Paliament.

Ramsbottom is fairly good in terms of Pubs, for example there is The Duckworth Arms on Whalley Road. In Summerseat There is The waterside Bar and Restaurant,then in Holcolmbe you have The Shoulder of Mutton.

Walking

Ramsbottom is situated amidst the West Pennine Moors,which provides it with excellent views and walking. if you fancy abit of Local History have a walk up to Peel Tower near Holcolmbe.
