Qeshm is the largest island in the Persian Gulf, with rocky coastlines that protects a mountainous and often beautiful interior. The coast is dotted with small villages and towns. Qeshm Island is free duty zone.
The simplest way is to get on a speedboat at Bandar Abbas main harbour. There are lots of them departing each few minutes. The ride takes between 20 to 40 minutes depending on your boat. The rates were about 2-3 Dollars in January 2008.
There are flights from major cities to Qeshm Island by Qeshm Air.
There is a daily flight from Dubai costing you about 40 Dollars.
Qeshm Island is very long(approximately 150kms from East to West), and its main attractions are far away from each other. So you should go everywhere by taxi or hire a taxi in Qeshm city to take you everywhere you want.
Meet friendly people and listen to the traditional music.
Qeshm is a duty free zone. It means that you can buy things here free of duty. Here there are many bazaars in Qeshm and the near town of Dargahan where you can buy shirts for 2 dollars or pants for five dollars.
Tolla International Hotel, Tolla, Qeshm
The Tolla International Hotel is situated 10 KMs away from the City Center and Approximately 1 Hour from the Qeshm International Airport. The Hotel is comparably cheap and has an extensive courtyard area for walking or Jogging. treeline boulevard walkways and the long benches installed on the sides are best for the evening stroll and rest. for a group accommodation for Bachelor men and single women(ranging from 2 Bedded rooms for two to 10 Bedded villas)you need to pay a 100,000 IRR.(if you want to stay Alone you can alternately take a double room and pay for two) and for an entire villa designated for Family is ranged from 300,000 IRR. it has a couple of restaurants serves a nominal but satisfactory Iranian Cuisine, and most widely Indian and Continental Cuisine, a couple of Coffee shops and a videoke(Video Karaoke Bar) for entertainment right inside the compound. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. and there is a fully functional telephone communication center and an internet cafe(the band width/speed is devastating though)makes communication a least concern. a Foosball board, half a dozen of snooker pools, Table tennis makes it recreational too.the only disadvantage some may feel is its far from the city and the other tourist attractions. but it makes this hotel very calm and less populous one.
