  • Piazza Cavalli, Piazza Cavalli (in the city centre at the intersection of Via Cavour and Via XX Settembre). The square contains the Palazzo del Governatore and the Palazzo Gotico. The latter is the old town hall (still a hall in public use) with some of the remaining decoration still in place. The outside has some elaborate brick work around each of it's windows, each one differently patterned.  edit
  • Duomo (Cathedral), Piazza Duomo (down Via XX Settembre). In Lombard Romanesque style, with detailed carvings around all the doors.  edit

  • Ostello Le Tre Corone - located in Claendasco, 9km outside Piacenza. Cheap hostel (about €16 for a bed) with a restaurant/bar. Can be accessed by public transport from Piacenza except on Sundays.


Get out[edit]

It is on the Via Romea [[1]] if you are going towards Rome or the Via Francigena if you are going towards Switzerland! Same road but different direction.
