Phong Nha-Ke Bang

A local bus goes from Dong Hoi to Phong Nha for 30,000.

Tours are avalible from Hue.


Phong Nha - Ke Bang national park locates in Bo Trach & Minh Hoa district of Quang Binh province, which is 40 km away from Dong Hoi city. As a provincial capital of Quang Binh province, Dong Hoi is a transport hub and thus quite a convenient place at which tourists can arrive, book a hotel before visiting Phong Nha – Ke Bang and other tourist places in the area.

Get to Phong Nha - Ke Bang national Park: from Dong Hoi city visitors can take a 40 km bus ride to the national park. The bus operates back and forth with a frequency of 2 times per day. Bus fare is 15,000 VND per passenger. Daily bus schedule is as below:

   *    Cam Ly bus station (Dong Hoi) – Phong Nha bus station: starts at 6:30 am and 2:00 pm
   *    Phong Nha bus station - Cam Ly bus station (Dong Hoi): starts at 6:30 am and 2:00 pm

Get to Dong Hoi city:

By air: The newly built Dong Hoi airport offers air link from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh to Dong Hoi city. Check Vietnam Airlines website for flight details. Passenger can book flight ticket from the website.

By train: The Thong Nhat (Reunification) Express train passes by Dong Hoi city. The station is located 3 km away from downtown.

Get around

See

Tien son caves: It is 50,000 dong to see both caves and 200,000(11$) to rent a boat for up to 10 people or 240,000 for 14 people. You can share a boat with other tourist that show up. Boat is needed. Caves are exquisist.

Nuoc Mooc spring: 50,000 for ticket. Transportation can be negotiated to take you there from Phong Nha village.
