Pelee Island  is in Ontario, Canada. Located at the confluence of two migration routes – the Atlantic Flyway and the Mississippi flyway. The Island is a significant stopover site for many species of birds and insects (like monarch butterflies). Birding is a popular pastime and draw for tourism as well as the annual pheasant hunt on the island.
There are two ferries from Canada and one from the US. You need to make reservations as they can be fully booked for weeks.
Canada Fishing license required.
Bicycling is the best way to see the 9 mile island. They are available for rent near the West Dock.
