Pandalam is a city in Pathanamthitta.

Pandalam is the land blessed by Lord Ayyappa where his childhood days are spent as the son of Pandalam King.

By plane[edit]

Nearest airports: Thiruvananthapuram - 101 km, Kochi - 127 km

By train[edit]

Nearest railway stations: Chengannur - 14 km, Mavelikara - 16 km

By car[edit]

Pandalam is 101 km north of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, and 120 km south of Kochi the state's commercial capital.

By bus[edit]

You can reach Pandalam by bus through MC Road. KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) is conducting the services, if you are coming from either Thiruvananthapuram or Kochi airports. Private buses ply to various destinations around Pandalam.

Get around[edit]

Taxis and auto rickshaws can be used to get around the town.


  • Valiyakoikkal Shree Dharma Shasta Temple. Here, you can see the gold ornaments which are supposed to be worn by Lord Ayyappa. Entry is restricted to Hindus.  edit
