Ostrobothnia (Finnish: Pohjanmaa, Swedish: Österbotten) is in Finland, Central Finland.

Ostrobothnia is the area around Vaasa on the western coast of Finland. The majority of people here are Swedish-speaking although a few places have a Finnish-speaking majority. The area is dominated by agrarian culture in difference to the forestry dominated inland. Historically Ostrobothnia was hit hard in the end of 1800 when thousands of people left to emigrate to America.
