Nago (名護) is a city located on Okinawa Island, Japan, in the northern (北部 Hokubu) region.


Nago was founded on 1 August 1970 and has about 60,000 people in an area of about 210 km².

Part of the Ocean Expo Park, the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium hosts a large tank of 7,500 m2, where large fish including whale sharks and manta rays are kept.
