In the Golden Temple there are 3 figures of Budhha, one 60 Ft. high and the other two 58 Ft. high, they are made of copper and cover with gold, inside the statues there are skriptures and small stupas. Unlike the Sera Monesteries, alot of lay people come here for poojas, so you can join in a walk around the monastery to move the prayer wheels around, there are also a few big ones in side the monastery. Moving these wheels sends the prarys one them. The 'Wind Hourses', which are flags with prayres written on them, have a simillar role.

How to get to Sera Take a bus to Kushal Nagar from Mangalore (about 5 hours, delux bus is advised on this road) or Mysore (about 2.5 hours). From Kushal Nagar take a rikshaw to Sera (6 km. 30 Rs., at the evening it's 50 Rs.).
