Mid Western Nepal is a region in Nepal.



  • Dhorpatan Town mostly populated by Tibetans in Dhorpatan Valley an important east-west route south of Dhaulagiri Himalaya
  • Ghorahi bazaar and administrative center of Dang District, Rapti Zone
  • Koilabas bazaar in Dang district, Rapti Zone near Indian border on trade route north into Deukhuri Valley, Dang Valley and hill districts of Rapti Zone
  • Libang administrative center of Rolpa District, Rapti Zone
  • Pyuthan bazaar and administrative center of Pyuthan District, Rapti Zone. Locally called Khalanga.
  • Salyan administrative center of Salyan district, Rapti Zone

English may take you fairly far, but a little Nepali goes further. As Asian languages go, this is certainly one of the easiest. About half of the country speaks it as a second language, so the occasional mispronunciation or grammatical blunder won't brand you a foreigner.
