Get inBy TrainThere are trains every hour or more frequently during the rush hours to and from Adana and Tarsus. There are trains to and from Istanbul, Eskisehir and Ankara. By PlaneThere are flights to and from Istanbul and Ankara to the closest airport, Adana Sakirpasa Airport. There are shuttles from the airport to Mersin.
By BusThere is a bus station in eastern part of the city. There are city buses running between the city center and the bus station. Usually each bus company has its own shuttles running between city center, western (coastal part) and the bus station. From the bus station there are buses to almost every city in Turkey and to small cities and villages in Mersin Province Get aroundSeeThere is a very famous Antique Bar called Kabare 33 on the Mersin-Tarsus road. The highly educated ladies do some fantastic dance shows at this place. Families are very welcomed to this lovely bar.

Tantuni is one of the most famous food in this region. Don't leave the city without tasting it. In the center of city, you will see lots of small local restaurants with this special fantastique food. DrinkDrink Salgam when you go there, actually Adana is more famous for its Salgam but still in Mersin, you may taste a good Salgam. Go to Ozkanlar Bufe just in front of Alanya Firini in Pozcu District. Ask to the locals how you can go to "Alanya Firini" they will start giving directions to you right at the moment. Also, the city is very famous for one of its local drinks called "ATOM". You can find ATOM also in the Ozkanlar. After drinking Atom, ask how you can go to Mersin Social House. This place is always a good place for relaxing after having a strong Atom. SleepThere are many hotels in the city, but one of the best ones is Sultasa Hotel. It is a kind of in the city center.
