Not only is it close to the stunning temples of Borobudur and Prambanan, but the town is a center of art and education, offers some good shopping and has a wide range of tourist facilities. Praised by many as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, South Luangwa National Park is one of Zambia's main draws. This 9,050-square-kilometer park is centered around the Luangwa River and is home to one of Africa's largest concentrations of wildlife.
