Logbook

25 November 2004: Wikitravel recovers from a 3½-day outage caused by overloaded servers.

18 November 2004: The new caching system has been put in place, and all language versions are using it.

16 November 2004: There's now a Test Wikitravel wiki site for testing the new 404 handler caching system that should (cross your fingers) improve performance on wikitravel.org.

12 November 2004: To be able to deal with the increased load on our servers, we've had to turn off some of the dynamic features of the MediaWiki software. Editors and readers should notice some peppier performance right now.
