The Logroño airport is situated in the municipality of Agoncillo. It is easy to access there by the N-II Logroño-Zaragoza road. It is 10 km away from Logroño city. The airport counts on modern facilities, restaurant and car rental offices. Flights to Madrid and Barcelona.
Logroño is part of the national railway network that allows a fluid connection with the rest of the region and the whole Spanish territory. The Train station is located in the Plaza de Europa. There are scheduled services from Pamplona, Soria, Madrid, Vitoria, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Burgos, Zaragoza, Zamora, Gijón, La Manga, Vigo, Pontevedra, Orense, Barcelona, Miranda, Valencia, Calahorra, Alfaro, Arnedo and Nájera.
Main roads are the LO-20, the A-12, A-11 and the AP-68 Highway, that connects Logroño with Vitoria, Bilvao, Pamplona, San Sebastián, Zaragoza, Soria, Madrid and Barcelona.
Logroño is a city easy to move around, any point can be reached in a short period of time. For this, it counts on several services as taxis and public transport, with modern buses that covers all urban routes.
In Logroño, rich and good-living land, food has a great importance as a reason for meeting or as a gift for the palate. No matter the reason, the fundamental thing is to meet with friends and family and taste delicious vegetables, a good dish of meat and the most creative and delicious desserts one could desire. Everything is perfectly mixed on the table; the different foods are combined, joining tastes and sensations… everything accompanied by the excellent wine of La Rioja. This is the reason why in Logroño it is not possible to eat without a good wine, being this, the most typical and precious product that presides every celebrations.
The people of Logroño,are proud to have a great number of restaurants, all of great quality. Besides, the "chiquiteo", one of the most attractive customs for the visitor, allows to enjoy the most varied and succulent "pinchos" (appetizers) in town. Although there are bars all over the town, the Calle Laurel has always been the traditional area for eating. In its bars we can find all kinds of typical dishes, such as cold meats, mushrooms, stuffed peppers, roast chorizo, grilled mushrooms...
Logroño has also modern bars and cafés to chat and rest after a good meal. The establishments have a very pleasant atmosphere, which place their tables and chairs outside on summer days. This bars are usually open till late at night.
Some general recommendations are given to the visitors like carrying the required money when going out and not the total amount taken for the holidays, also precautions need to be taken in busy places to prevent possible thefts.
